Adi is a seasoned geophysical practitioner with around ~25-year of industry experience in Southeast Asia, Australia, Angola, Brazil, and the Gulf of Mexico. Past jobs include 4D seismic optimization for Duri heavy oil steam flood field, Chevron ETC R&D staff in the US, Light Oil waterflood field team manager, Gorgon Australia CO2 storage – geophysical MVA project lead, Ikonscience Asia Pacific QI team leader, and independent consultant for various projects around the SE Asia region.
Adi holds geophysical and geological majors from ITB. His current interests are in the poroelasticity theory, rock physics-based inversion, stratigraphic-based seismic modeling, and next-generation quantitative interpretation (QI)
Adi has been teaching short courses since 2005 as part of AAPG/SEG guest lectures. He is currently a geophysical advisor for Pertamina and has been teaching internal QI-classes regularly since 2018 to discuss bottleneck fundamental problems and their solutions.
